This standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment which is freely accessible. Permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment is intended for persons aged 14 years and over. It is not playground equipment in accordance with DIN EN 1176, even though they correspond with the requirements of this standard. Permanently installed fitness equipment in accordance with DIN EN 957 as well as equipment with stack weights or electrical drives is not considered in this standard. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 112-07-08 AA "Standortgebundene Fitnessgeräte im Außenbereich" ("Permanently installed outdoor fitness equipment") at DIN.
