This standard specifies the theoretical values and limiting screw thread dimensions for bicycles and mopeds. This document supersedes DIN 79011:1960-10 and DIN 79012:1960-10 which was withdrawn in 2009-03. International Standard ISO 8488:1986 "Cycles; Screw threads used to assemble head fittings on bicycle forks" applies in addition to DIN 79012. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 112-06-02 AA "Fahrrad-Zubehör" ("Accessories for bicycles") of the Sports Equipment Standards Committee (NASport) at DIN.
