The standard DIN 83411-1 is applicable to manhole covers of size 600×400 and a maximum permissible pressure of 1,1 bar, as they are used in bunkers, aluminium tanks and cells on civil water vehicles. Installation dimensions and different designs with the components to be used are specified. The standard does not apply to manhole covers on boilers or pressure vessels.
