The specifications of this standard are used for the classification of solders for gap solder joints. They can also be used to determine the strength of gap solder joints under shear stress at the solder joint - also at different test temperatures. They apply preferably to soft solder joints with soft solders according to DIN 1707-100 and DIN EN ISO 9453. The responsible committee for this standard is NA 092-00-08 AA "Weichlöten (DVS AGV 6.2)" ("Soldering (DVS AGV 6.2)") at DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes (NAS).
