This standard specifies requirements for hexagon domed cap nuts with non-metallic insert, metric coarse and fine pitch threads with nominal thread diameters of 4 mm to 20 mm in product class A (up to 16 mm nominal thread diameter) and product class B (for nominal thread diameter of 20 mm). In addition to editorial revisions, adaptations to DIN EN ISO 898-2 and the new edition of DIN EN ISO 2320 have been made. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") of the Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV) at DIN e. V.
