DIN EN 10028-7:2016-10

The harmonized standard DIN EN 10028-7 is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union and contains requirements for flat products for pressure vessels made of stainless steels, including austenitic heat-resisting steels. The standard is considered harmonized because the aforementioned products are also (but not only) used in pressure vessel construction and, consequently, have to meet the essential requirements of European Directive 2014/68/EU. Several changes have been made to the previous version, such as: inclusion/deletion of steel grades; updating of chemical compositions and mechanical properties. The responsible German standardization committee is Subcommittee 04/2 "Stähle für den Druckbehälterbau" ("Steels for pressure purposes") at DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel (FES).
