This European Standard is a new edition. Besides purity criteria and relevant methods for analysis, it specifies requirements for the marking, transportation and storage of the respective products as well as specific safety rules. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 164/WG 9 "Drinking Water Treatment" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) with the active German collaboration of Working Committee NA 119-04-02 AA "Wasseraufbereitung" ("Drinking Water Treatment") of the NAW.
