DIN EN 10272:2016-10

DIN EN 10272 is a harmonized standard cited in the Official Journal of the European Union. This document specifies the technical delivery conditions for hot and cold formed stainless steel bars for pressure vessels. This standard is considered harmonized because the above products are also (but not only) used in pressure vessel construction and consequently shall satisfy the essential requirements of EU Directive 2014/68/EU. Several changes have been made to the previous version, such as: inclusion/deletion of steel grades; updating of chemical compositions, mechanical properties or other technical specifications. The responsible German standardization committee is Subcommittee 04/2 "Stähle für den Druckbehälterbau" ("Steels for pressure purposes") at DIN Standards Committee Iron and Steel (FES).
