This standard specifies the electrical and related mechanical safety requirements for the design and construction of the electrical installation in internal combustion engine powered trucks (hereinafter referred to as trucks) with starter battery nominal voltages up to and including 24 V. The responsible Committee is K 352 "Elektrische Ausrüstung von Flurförderzeugen" ("Electrical equipment of industrial trucks") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
