DIN EN 12021:2014-07

This document specifies requirements for the quality of compressed gas (including synthetic air) which is used for the following types of equipment: a) respiratory protective devices - self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus and open-circuit self-contained compressed air diving apparatus; b) compressed air line breathing apparatus and compressed air line breathing apparatus for under water operation; c) respiratory protective devices for self-rescue - self-contained open-circuit compressed gas breathing apparatus with full face mask or mouthpiece assembly or incorporating a hood for escape; d) - self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face mask or mouthpiece assembly or incorporating a hood for escape; e) respiratory devices - self-contained closed-circuit breathing apparatus; f) breathing gas for operation under pressure. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 027-02-08 AA "Tauchgeräte" ("Diving apparatus") at DIN.
