This European Standard specifies functional requirements and specific safety requirements for four types of horses and bucks in addition to the general safety requirements in EN 913:2018+A1:2021. This document (EN 13196:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 136 "Sports, playground and other recreational facilities and equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 112-01-02 AA "Turngeräte, Matten und Spielfeldgeräte" ("Gymnastic equipment, mats and playing field equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Sports Equipment (NASport).
