This document (EN 12199:2010) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 "Resilient, textile and laminate floor coverings", the secretariat of which is held by the BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 054-04-05 AA "Bodenbeläge" ("Floor coverings") of the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK). This document specifies the characteristics of homogeneous and heterogeneous relief rubber floor coverings, supplied in either tile or roll form. This document includes a classification system based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings should give satisfactory service (see EN 685). This document also specifies the requirements for marking.
