This standard contains an amendment of the specified distances between pairs of holes in the test beam and Corrigendum 1:2009 and will be published as a consolidated version of DIN 12221-2. As a test standard, it is primarily directed at manufacturers and testing institutes commissioned with testing the safety of child use and care articles. This European Standard covers, in particular, aspects of product safety. The committee responsible for this amendment is NA 095-05-03 AA "Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder - Sitzen, Pflegen, Schützen, Liegen und Transportieren" ("Child use and care articles - Seating and body care, protection, lying down and transportation") at DIN.
