DIN EN 12351:2010-08

This European Standard specifies requirements, types, material and marking of protective caps for flanged valves with and without internal coating. The use of protective caps according to this standard is limited to transport and storage to prevent the entry of dirt and damage of the connecting surfaces. The protective caps do not protect against the consequences of improper use or handling. This standard does not apply to protective caps for valves and pipe fittings with welded and threaded ends. This document replaces EN 12351:1999. The Committee responsible for the preparation of this standard is Technical Committee CEN/TC 69 "Industrial valves", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. The Committee executing the work is Working Group CEN/TC 69/WG 12 "Valves for the process industry", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. On the national level the project is edited at the Valves Standards Committee (NAA). The responsible Working Committee is NA 003-01-11 AA "Armaturen für die Prozessindustrie" ("Valves for the process industry").
