Overview
This standard specifies the method for the determination of the secant modulus of elasticity in compression of hardened concrete on test specimens which may be cast or taken from a structure. It is based on extensive investigations and comparison with existing national standards from ASTM,BS, DIN, ISO, NORD TEST and UNI, followed by the evaluation of a test program executed by UNI with participation by 5 laboratories. This standard is a part in a series of standards for testing concrete. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-07-05 AA "Prüfverfahren für Beton (SpA CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 8 und CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 11 sowie CEN/TC 51/WG 12)" ("Test methods for concrete (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 8, CEN/TC 104/SC 1/TG 11 and CEN/TC 51/WG 12)") at DIN.
