This European Standard specifies the grades and the corresponding requirements for magnesium alloys for cast anodes. This document has been prepared by CEN/TC 190/WG 9 "Cast magnesium" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) at Technical Committee CEN/TC 190/WG 9 "Foundry practice" (secretariat: DIN, Germany) of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). The responsible German standardization committee is DIN Working Committee NA 036-00-02 GA "Gemeinsamer Arbeitsausschuss Gießereitechnik/Nichteisenmetall-Normen: Magnesiumguss" ("Joint Working Committee Foundry Practice Standards/Nonferrous Metals Standards: Cast magnesium") at DIN Standards Committees Foundry Practice Nonferrous Metals (FNNE).
