This European Standard specifies requirements, test methods, marking and conformity assessment for systems that are prefabricated and/or field-assembled from kits for biological wastewater treatment (second treatment part) used for the treatment of wastewater draining from septic tanks, according to EN 12566-1 or EN 12566-4. This document (EN 12566-6:2016) has been prepared by CEN/TC 165 "Waste water engineering", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 119-05-04 AA "Kleinkläranlagen" ("Small type wastewater treatment plants") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
