This part of the EN 12574 series of standards specifies the test methods for stationary waste containers (in the text also called containers) according to EN 12574-1:2017. It also specifies the target requirements to be reached either during or after the tests. This document (EN 12574-2:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 183 "Waste management", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 051-02-01 AA "Abfallentsorgung; Umleerbehälter bis 5 m3 und Abfallsammelschränke (Spiegelgremium für CEN/TC 183/WG 1)" ("Waste management; Containers up to 5 m3 and container shells (mirror committee for CEN/TC 183/WG 1))" at DIN Standards Committee Municipal Services (NKT).
