This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 "Bituminous binders", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible committee is Joint Working Committee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für die Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") in the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP) at the DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This document specifies a method for determining the Fraaß breaking point which measures the brittleness of bitumen and bituminous binders at low temperatures.
