This European Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for table mounted chairs, intended for children who are able to sit unaided up to a maximum weight of 15 kg. This document (EN 1272:2017) has been prepared by CEN/TC 252 "Child use and care articles", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 095-05-03 AA "Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder - Sitzen, Pflegen, Schützen, Liegen und Transportieren" ("Child use and care articles - Sitting, caring, protecting, laying and transporting") at DIN Standards Committee Safety Design Principles (NASG).
