DIN EN 13155 specifies safety requirements for non-fixed load lifting attachments for cranes used on cranes, hoists and manually controlled load manipulators. It supports manufacturers in the design, testing, marking and documentation of load lifting attachments and helps minimize hazards during lifting and transport operations.
It applies, among other things, to vacuum lifters, lifting magnets, lifting beams, crane forks, C-hooks, plate clamps, clamps and transport anchor systems, making it an important basis for safe crane and lifting technology.
DIN EN 13155 describes requirements for the design, load-bearing capacity, safety functions, test methods and documentation of load lifting attachments. It also includes specifications for risk assessment, hazard prevention and conformity assessment.
