Overview

This version DIN EN 13179:2011+A1:2014 contains the A1 draft amendment from 2013. The 2011 version has been changed as follows: the European Standard has been rendered more precise and concretised, the explanatory text to the Normative references has been updated, the symmetric pattern of the tyres has been deleted from 4.6.3, in 4.6.6, the tolerances of the support angle have been increased since it proved to be very complicated to meet the previous tolerances. Furthermore, in 7.5, the specification of the conditioning period has been rendered more precise, the total minimum measured surface area has been reduced to 400 cm2 to be in line with other standards and in Clause 8 a new subclause has been included describing a simple method for the determination of wear based on a photo of the road marking. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-10-22 AA "Straßenmarkierungen (SpA zu CEN/TC 226/WG 2), Gemeinschaftsausschuss mit FGSV" ("Horizontal road signs (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 226/WG 2) Joint working group with FGSV") at DIN.
