Pressure generated within a coil or a stack of sheets can affect the coating surface and cause marks of gloss transfer, plasticizer migration, etcetera and even blocking/sticking. This part of the EN 13523 series specifies the procedure for determining the resistance to blocking and/or pressure marking of an organic coating on a metallic substrate. This responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 002-00-07 AA "Allgemeine Prüfverfahren für Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen" ("General test methods for coating materials and coatings") at DIN Standards Committee Coatings and Coating Materials (NAB).
