This European Standard specifies methods for the determination of the total organic carbon content (TOC) in limestone. The standard describes the reference method and alternative methods which can be considered to be equivalent. This document (EN 13639:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 51 "Cement and Building Lime", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 005-07-13 AA "Zement, SpA zu Teilbereichen von CEN/TC 51 und ISO/TC 74" ("Cement, Mirror Committee of parts of CEN/TC 51 and ISO/TC 74") at DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau).
