This European Standard specifies a method for determining the fire resistance of: - floor constructions, without cavities or with unventilated cavities; - roof constructions, with or without cavities (ventilated or unventilated); - floor and roof constructions incorporating glazing; with fire exposure from the underside. This standard is applied in conjunction with EN 1363-1. With respect to DIN EN 1365-2:2000-02, the following modifications have been made: a) normative references have been updated; b) Clause 3 "Terms, definitions, symbols and designations" has been updated; c) specifications regarding test conditions and test specimens have been revised; d) Clause 9 has been revised; e) test report indications have been supplemented; f) Clause 13 has been revised and supplemented; g) Figure 1 has been modified; h) Annex A has been revised and figures have been added. This document (EN 1365-2:2014) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 127 "Fire safety in buildings", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The committee responsible for this standard at DIN is NA 005-52-02 AA "Brandverhalten von Baustoffen und Bauteilen - Bauteile (SpA zu CEN/TC 127/WG 1 sowie Teilbereichen von CEN/TC 127/WG 7 und ISO/TC 92/SC2)" ("Reaction to fire of building materials and building components - Building components (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 127/WG 1 and sub-sections of CEN/TC 127/WG 7 and ISO/TC 92/SC 2)").
This document replaces DIN EN 1365-2:2000-02 .
