Overview

This new version of DIN EN 13683 takes into account a formal objection. Access security has been increased by specification of the requirements for the feed intake opening and measures have been specified for the discharge chute, in this case access from below, by modified safety distances and taking EN ISO 13849-1 into account. The safety instructions in the case that the inlet opening or discharge chute becomes clogged were revised. The normative references were also updated and the attachment of guards has been concretized. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 020-00-11-07 UA "Gartenhäcksler" ("Garden shredders") at DIN.
