DIN EN 13752:2012-11

This European Standard is a new edition. In addition to purity criteria and the corresponding methods of analysis, it specifies labelling, transportation and storage requirements for the corresponding products as well as specific rules relating to safety. Furthermore, it contains information on the physical and chemical properties as well as general information on the manufacture and use of the product. The standard is cited in the list of processing substances and disinfection procedures according to § 11 of the TrinkwV (German Drinking Water Ordinance); as a result the respective products in Germany can be used for drinking water treatment. Manganese dioxide is used as filtering material for the removal of manganese. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 164/WG 9 "Drinking water treatment" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) with the active collaboration of Working Committee NA 119-04-02 AA of the same name at NAW.
