Overview

DIN EN 13819-1 specifies physical test methods for hearing protectors. The purpose of these tests is to enable assessment of the performance of the hearing protector as specified in the appropriate product standard. Amendment 1 modifies and supplements requirements for test methods for banded earplugs with chin straps. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 075-02-01 AA "Gehörschutz" ("Hearing protection") at DIN Standards Committee Personal Protective Equipment (NPS).
