This document specifies definitions and characteristics of flexible sheets of plastic or rubber intended for use as water vapour control layers primarily serving for waterproofing of buildings. This standard applies to reinforced and unreinforced products. It contains specifications of requirements and test methods and the evaluation of conformity of products with the requirements of this document. This document (EN 13984:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 254 "Flexible sheets for waterproofing", the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 054-04-03 AA "Baubahnen" ("Construction membranes") of the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK).
