DIN EN 14129 specifies the requirements for the design and testing of spring loaded pressure relief valves and thermal expansion valves for use in: 1) static LPG pressure vessels; 2) LPG pressure vessels on road tankers, rail tankers, tank-containers or demountable tanks. This standard does not address production testing. Compared to the last edition 2005-01, the test programme has been adjusted and expanded by some tests. Furthermore, pilot operated pressure relief valves are dealt with. The body responsible for this standard is NA 016-00-06 AA "Flüssiggas-Geräte und Ausrüstung; Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 286" ("LPG equipment and accessories; National mirror committee to CEN/TC 286") at DIN.
