This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 336 "Bituminous binders", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The responsible German committee is Joint Working Commitee NA 062-03-32 GA "Bitumen; Prüfverfahren und Anforderungen für Bindemittel" ("Bitumen; test methods and specifications of binders") of DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP) and DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering (NABau). This standard specifies a method for the determination of the softening point of bitumen and bituminous binders in the range of 28 °C to 150 °C.
