This European Standard specifies ergonomic, technical and safety requirements for wall mounted and free-standing writing boards for use in rooms for educational and training purposes, e.g. classrooms, lecture theatres at schools, universities, etc. This document (EN 14434:2010) has been prepared by CEN/TC 207 "Furniture", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy). The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 042-05-05 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 207/WG 5 Schul- und Objektmöbel" ("Mirror Committee of CEN/TC/WG 5 - Requirements for non domestic furniture") (NHM).
