DIN EN 14499:2015-06

This European Standard specifies minimum performance requirements for fibrous, non-fibrous and combined underlays. This standard differs from DIN EN 14499:2005-02 as follows: a) Clause 3 "Terms and definitions" has been revised; b) the content of the former Clause 5 "Requirements" has been extended and transferred to a new Clause 5 "Performance" and Clause 6 "Classification"; c) Annex B (normative) "Determination of work of compression of underlay" has been added; d) the standard has been editorially revised. This document (EN 14499:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 "Resilient, textile and laminate floor coverings", the secretariat of which is held by the secretariat of NBN. The responsible German body involved in its preparation is Working Committee NA 054-04-09 AA "Prüfung und Verwendungsbereichseinstufung von textilen Bodenbelägen" ("Testing and field of classification of textile floor coverings") of the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK) at DIN.
