DIN EN 14564:2013-04

This European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 296/WG 1 "Terminology" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). Working Committee NA 104-03-01 AA "Tanks für die Beförderung gefährlicher Güter" ("Tanks for the transport of dangerous goods") has been involved in the preparation of the draft standard. This standard has been prepared due to a mandate (M/086) given to CEN by the European Commission and supports the aims of the framework directives for the transport of dangerous goods by road and rail. This standard is part of the technical rules for application of the installations A and B of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road (ADR) as well as the Regulations concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Rail (RID) prepared by CEN/TC 296 "Tanks for transport of dangerous goods" and provides a uniform terminology for all technical terms which require a definition in addition to the terms in ADR and RID. Furthermore it contains special terms and definitions stipulated in other standards of the technical rules.
