Overview
This part of EN 14870 (ISO 15590-1:2009 modified) specifies the technical delivery conditions for bends made by the induction bending process for use in pipeline transportation systems for the petroleum and natural gas industries as defined in ISO 13623. This standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 12 "Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). It is the adoption of the modified edition of ISO 15590-1:2009 which has been prepared by ISO/TC 67 "Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries", Subcommittee SC 2 "Pipeline transportation systems". For Germany, Working Committee NA 109-00-02 AA "Fernleitungssysteme - Spiegelausschuss zu ISO/TC 67/SC 2" ("Pipeline transportation systems - Mirror Committee of ISO/TC 67/SC 2") at the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries Standards Committee (NÖG) of DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. has collaborated in the preparation of this standard.
