This standard contains requirements for the design, manufacture and installation of metal bellows expansion joints for pressure applications; this implies a maximum allowable pressure of greater than 0,5 bar. The modifications from DIN EN 14917:2009/FprA1:2011 have been incorporated into this standard. The document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 342 "Metal hoses, hose assemblies, bellows and expansion joints" (secretariat: SNV) with German participation. Working Committee NA 082-00-01 AA "Schlauchleitungen und Kompensatoren aus Metall" ("Metal hose assemblies and expansion joints") of the Piping and Boiler Plant Standards Committee (NARD) is responsible for the German participation.
