DIN EN 14975:2010-12

This European Standard specifies terms and definitions, product requirements and test methods for the construction and performance of loft ladders. The standard also contains requirements for marking and user instructions of loft ladders. With respect to DIN EN 14975:2007, Amendment A1:2010 has been adopted. In 6.1 it has been added that there is no minimum for the vertical distance l₃ between the last tread and the loft floor for pull-out sliding loft ladders. Furthermore, the contradictory specification in 6.9 for the measurement of the distance l₂ between the floor and the top of the first tread has been corrected and the text in 6.17 for the indication of insulating or sealing values has been revised. The Committee responsible for the standard is NA 042-04-20 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 93 Leitern" ("Mirror Committee to CEN/TC 93 Ladders") at DIN.
