DIN EN 15050:2012-06

The standard applies to reinforced and prestressed concrete elements which can be used for the construction of road bridges, railway bridges and footbridges, such as deck elements. Deck elements include both single elements from which the deck may be composed (beams, slabs, ribbed or cellular elements) and elements consisting of a segment of the entire deck. The requirements for base materials, finished product and evaluation of conformity are specified. DIN EN 1992-1-1, DIN EN 1992-1-2 and DIN EN 1992-2 apply for the design of the finished products. Additional design rules are given where necessary. The standard contains Amendment A1 which limits the scope by excluding abutments and arches. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 229 "Precast concrete products" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible working committee at DIN is NA 005-07-08 AA "Betonfertigteile" - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 229 ("Precast concrete products" - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 229) at NABau.
