Overview
A test method with a rotating drum and the associated test equipment are specified. The test method is used for the reproducible generation of dust from a bulk material under standard conditions. The current Amendment A1 has been incorporated into this new edition of the standard, which extends the time period for carrying out the test program by 5 s and specifies the rotation time of the pump within the scope of the use of the test device in more detail. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Group NA 095-03-01-01 AK "Staub" ("Particulate matter") of Working Committee NA 095-03-01 AA "Messstrategien und Anforderungen an Messverfahren" ("Measurement strategies and requirements for test methods") at DIN Standards Committee Safety Design Principles (NASG).
