This document specifies a laboratory method for obtaining water samples from treated wood which has been in conditions designed to simulate continuous contact with the ground or with water (use Class 4 or 5), at time intervals after exposure. Compared to DIN/CEN/TS 15119-2:2012-12; DIN SPEC 68002, the publication form of CEN/TS has been changed to a European standard without any significant technical changes. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 042-03-06 AA "Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 38 Dauerhaftigkeit von Holz und Holzprodukten" ("Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 38 Durability of wood and wood-based products") at DIN Standards Committee Timber and Furniture (NHM).
