Overview
This standard specifies a method for the determination of the size distribution of particulate biofuels by the horizontally oscillating screen method. It applies to compressed and uncompressed particulate fuels with a nominal top size of 1 mm and above, such as, for example, wood chips, hog fuel, olive stones. For the method specified, a sample is subjected to sieving through horizontally oscillating sieves, sorting the particles into decreasing size classes by mechanical means. The standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 335 "Solid biofuels", the secretariat of which is held by SIS (Sweden). The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-82 AA "Feste Biobrennstoffe" ("Solid biofuels") at NMP.
