Overview

This standard applies for the installation and supervision of permanent and temporary anchors. The deals with anchors which can be stressed and tested in accordance with EN ISO 22477-5. The planning and design of ground anchors calls for experience and knowledge in this specialised field. The design aspects are dealt with in EN 1997-1 "Eurocode 7: Geotechnical design - Part 1: General rules". This standard does not address anchorage systems such as tension piles, screw piles, mechanical anchors, soil nails, expander anchors or tendons with anchor walls.
