DIN EN 15429-2:2013-03

This standard applies to surface cleaning machines for outdoor applications in public areas, roads, airports and industrial complexes. Cleaning machines for winter maintenance and/or indoor applications are not included within the scope of this standard. Surface cleaning machines in terms of this standard, are self-propelled, truck mounted, attached sweeping equipment or pedestrian controlled. This standard deals with the performance and functional characteristics and the test methods applied to the sweeping equipment when used as intended and under the conditions foreseen by the manufacturer. The European draft standard EN 15429-2:2009 has been prepared in CEN/TC 337 "Winter maintenance and road service area maintenance equipment", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France). The work has been performed by CEN/TC 337, Working Group 4 "Road surface cleaning equipment" (WG 4), the chairmanship of which was held by DIN. The responsible committee at DIN is Working Committee NA 051-03-02 AA "Maschinen für den Straßenbetriebsdienst (Spiegelgremium für CEN/TC 337/WG 1)" ("Highway maintenance machines (Mirror committee for CEN/TC 337/WG 1)") at NKT.
