With the second amendment to EN 15503:2009, the testing of a curved access for intake and exhaust openings was included. This specifies requirements for the access path so that a hazard to fingers can be ruled out. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 020-00-11-09 UA "Laubsauger" ("Garden blowers/vaccum") at DIN.
