DIN EN 1559-3:2012-01

This European Standard applies for castings made from all cast iron materials produced in sand or permanent moulds or by centrifugal casting, continuous casting or investment casting and specifies the additional technical delivery conditions for castings made from all cast iron materials. CEN/TC 190 "Foundry Technology" has prepared a series of material standards covering the following cast irons: - grey cast irons; - malleable cast irons; - spheroidal graphite cast irons; - ausferritic spheroidal graphite cast irons; - abrasion resistant cast irons; - austenitic cast irons; - compacted (vermicular) graphite cast irons; - low alloyed ferritic spheroidal graphite cast irons for elevated temperature applications. This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 190 "Foundry technology", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). Regarding the German collaboration, the responsible Working Committee is NA 036-00-04 AA "Geometrische Produktspezifikation und Technische Lieferbedingungen" ("Geometrical product specifications and technical conditions of delivery") of the Foundry Practice Standards Committee (GINA).
