DIN EN 15619:2010-08

This standard specifies the characteristics, requirements and test methods for coated fabrics intended for mobile, temporary structures in the form of tents (such as marquee, hangar, tent-hall, booth, excluding camping tents) and related structures. Plastic films and materials other than coated fabrics are not covered by this standard. The standard introduces a system that uses different levels of performance (A, B and C) for each characteristic, or T1, T2, T3, T4 for the fire behaviour. This procedure allows to choose the appropriate level for each characteristic and so to compose a "product profile", adapted to each specific type of use. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 248 "Textile and textile products" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-04-04 AA "Kunststoff-Folien und kunststoffbeschichtete Flächengebilde (Kunstleder); allgemeine Eigenschaften" ("Plastic films and plastics-coated fabrics (artificial leather); general characteristics") of FNK.
