This European Standard is applicable for Class A classified floating leisure articles for use on and in water according to EN 15649-1 regardless of whether the buoyancy is achieved by inflation or inherent buoyant material. This document (EN 15649-3) is applicable with EN 15649-1 and EN 15649-2. This standard is a product standard which applies in connection with DIN EN 15649-1 to EN 15649-7. The standard deals in particular with aspects of (product) safety. This Standard contains modifications to DIN EN 15649-3:2009. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 112-05-09 AA "Aufblasbare schwimmende Freizeitgeräte einschließlich aufblasbarer Boote und Zubehör" ("Inflatable floating leisure articles including inflatable boats and mountings") at DIN.
