Overview
This European Standard is applicable for conveyor belts for leisure or winter sports activities. The requirements described are applicable to conveyor belts for the transport of passengers with tightly fixed snow-sliding devices or pedestrians wearing ski boots or heavy boots who may be carrying their snow-sliding devices. Snow-sliding devices include seated ski equipment for handicapped people. This European Standard has been prepared on the basis of the automatic operation of these installations with no staff permanently present in the vicinity of the conveyor belt. The responsible standardization committee is NA 087-00-16 AA "Seilbahnen" ("Ropeways").
