DIN EN 15701:2017-02

The DIN EN 15701 standard is the German version of EN 15701. This standard specifies uniform requirements throughout Europe for thermoplastic jackets for insulation products for building equipment and industrial installations, as well as the test methods to be used. The standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association and supports essential working requirements of EU Regulation No. 305/2011. DIN EN 15701 is intended for manufacturers and users of thermoplastic jackets for insulation products for building equipment and industrial installations. In particular, it contains the essential characteristics for CE marking and the test and evaluation procedures to be applied. This standard is a revision of the standard from 2009. The standard has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). There is no working committee at DIN for EN 15701, since the German technical public has not expressed any interest in participating in this standardization topic. However, the office of the technically assigned DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK) is obliged to publish the German version of the European standard.
