Overview
This standard determines a method for the measurement of the cytotoxicity. This standard specifies a test method for laboratory testing of the potential cytotoxic effect of paper and cardboard materials. This method is intended to assess the moisture content using food simulants. The European standard has been developed by CEN/TC 172 "Pulp, paper and board", the secretariat of which is held by Standards Committee "Papier und Pappe" (NPa) ("Paper and board" (NPa)) at DIN. WG 12 "Zytotoxizität" ("Cytotoxicity") is the decision making committee within CEN/TC 172.
